Beana`s Kitchen in Oak Island

This place was recommended to us by a vendor who was selling hats and flags. We stopped to go a hat and asked where to get some good breakfast and he pointed us in the right direction. You won't leave hungry. Awesome omelets! Coffee was prettygood too.

Awesome omelette's and killer pancakes! My wife ordered over medium eggs and they were perfect! Awesome and friendly staff. We will definitely eat here again!

Good food, good selection, best breakfast-Not always open at 7 am as advertised, butOnce they get cranked up - a decent place to eat and good home type atmosphere.

If you care about your health, DO NOT EAT HERE. They are not following Covid precautions at all, I even heard them bragging about not following the governors mask mandate. Not one person working or a single patron wore a mask.

Bought 3 way overpriced biscuit breakfast sandwiches for carry out... went to eat it and the biscuit was burned so bad I almost chipped a tooth..not to mention it tasted like ashes...this was the case for ALL the sandwiches...went to give the incinerated biscuit to my dog and he wouldn't he eat it ......he sniffed it..and scurried off......wow... enough said!

They have really excellent homemade good food every time we visit Oak Island twice a year we always eat their love it

Okay . . . We just had breakfast, we didn't have to wait very long at all. The staff was efficient and friendly. The pancakes were golden and fluffy and the oak island omelette was bangin'! Great job beanas kitchen we will be back again.

Family owned and operated and it shows! The level of care and kindness we were shown even for our large group was phenomenal! And the food was definitely worth writing home about!

My husband and I went to Beana's Kitchen for breakfast this morning. My husband had grits and I had sausage gravy biscuits and everything was very good. The service was also very good. I highly recommend Beana's Kitchen!

Food was bland and under seasoned and the manager was rude. They do not follow state mandated mask rules. Very unsafe for anyone to eat or work there.

Good old fashion food. No hi-brow stuff here. Daily specials, good portions.

Excellent food. Usually packed for breakfast and you may have to wait outside for a bit depending on the number of people and size of your party. There are benches outside to sit on. The staff is always friendly and attentive to your needs. The prices are reasonable especially for a tourist town.

It took forever to get the food but the food was worth the wait. I would go back for the Mexican omelet alone. Soooo so good.

Good food good servers not bad timing

I should preface this by saying my experience could have been due to it being Labor Day weekend but we waited a half hour to be seated while 1/3 of the tables were empty. Maybe they were short staffed? It's standard fare with US Foods frozen food warmed up, frozen biscuits, home fries squares they bill as hash browns, cheap bacon and fake butter. Will say my waffle wasn't horrible. Waiter was very nice and did a good job. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so just a disappointment while on vacation. So far on Oak Island we're batting zero for restaurants for three days. Southport has been working out better. Again, nice staff, just not good food.

It wasn't that great. My friend had the special which he said was salty. I tried the potatoes...Im pretty sure they are instant. And he never got his pie. I had chicken tenders and 🍟. They were good and hot. The best thing was the portions. Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen. I'll try again. The service was pretty good. They both were very attentive.

Delicious food and nice people. Nothing fancy, but you'll get a great meal for the cost. The burger was awesome

Wait was much longer than usual with no crowd....food not good as normal. Could be because of current Covid precautions. ...still my go to place

Relaxed and homey atmosphere. Our server, Chris, was very efficient and responsive to any requests we had. Food is so good! Make a point of stopping in and enjoying a tasty meal.

Beana's is the perfect local beach diner. Be prepared for a wait during typical breakfast hours, which is a testament to the deliciousness!

The food was ok but typical dinner breakfast. Service was very slow. They were nice enough to change the TV to the station we wanted although the owner kept by passing it so we had to help. The wait was long even though there were several empty tables while we were waiting. I don't know if they were short staff or why they didn't fill the empty tables. While we were there, they continued to have empty tables at different spots. Just not in a hurry to seat people.

Great little country style restaurant. Loved the hamburger steak with onions and homemade gravy. Country vegetables are fantastic!! Quick friendly service.

This place was great. Having a 1 year old sometimes servers give us looks. But our waiter was AMAZING!!! Definitely come back again.

Eggs were not cooked right. Waffle tasted funny and small for 5.00...but coffee and mtn dew was good...we also saw waiter handling a customers food with no glove on...gross! People please wear gloves...

This place is absolutely filthy. There was more food on the booths and walls than on our plates. So disgusting

Food was good my only issue was that we were told it would be a 15 minute wait and we waited almost an hour before we were seated. Seemed a bit hectic. I figure the wait time was probably because of the limited seating due to coronavirus I just wish we were told an accurate wait time or informed it was going to take longer.
